Blippirific -OR- Blippin-fiasco?

The Blippi event causes uproar in traffic and social chatter

You know how I mentioned the word "fiasco" yesterday when talking about the Blippi event?

I was just thinking of parking and traffic, but WOA! It went to a whole 'nutha level!

If you haven't heard...

The consensus is pretty divided on how the Blippi event was.

Aside from traffic and parking. That, agreeably, was in fact, a fiasco.

Traffic was reportedly backed up all the way to McGregor Park on Riverside Dr and back to Kings Bluff on Cumberland, passed Crossland. It got so bad and so full, the event was eventually closed to any new incomers.

About half, maybe a bit less... are thrilled and happy for the appearance and experience. One father is quoted as saying in Clarksville Chat... "Took off work early... only to see blippi for 5 mins... IT WAS SO WORTH IT"

A mom from the event had this to say... "It was worth the wait! Thanks Blippi and Mochas & Minis for making my toddlers dreams come true!"

The other half, regretfully...

Angry and taking to the Facebook Group interwebs to vent and attack.

To which, one replied...

I guess it really does come back to how you choose to look at things.

Personally, I think Blippi missed a HUUUGE public relations and brand building opportunity. I mean, he was already there. Airfare, paid. Food and lodging, paid.

Why not put on a bit of a show? Or let parents ask questions for their kids to get to know him a bit better?

There is usually a logical reason why things are not done the way we think they could've been, and I hope that's the case.

Was it a fiasco?

Yep. I knew it would be! 😆

Were a LOT of kids blessed by the experience?

You betcha!

Hats off to the parents who made that trek to see Blippi for a few minutes.

You deserve an award. 🏆
