Blipperific Tuesday morning, to ya!

Well, if you haven't heard...

IT'S BLIPPI DAY! 🥳

Now, to you and I (and most adults I'd think) that's no big deal. In fact, I'd never even heard of Blippi until it was announced he was coming to Clarksville recently.

And once I looked into it I realized, it's pretty cool! Apparently, Blippi's a bleepin' big deal!

Blippi is here in Clarksville... TODAY!!

The event is taking place today starting at 4pm at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, down at Liberty Park. (Plan on heading there early to avoid the fiasco that will be, parking. You're welcome.)

Now, if you are like I was before this strava-blippi-ganza and have no idea what the deal is, let me break it down like a fraction for ya...

Blippi is a mega-popular character on YouTube (and many other places now) known for his orange and blue garb (hey, he matches Clarksville Messenger!) as well as his energetic personality. He teaches kids about numbers, letters, colors and a lot more. He even travels around the country giving tours of museums and other places. His channel has over 15 million subscribers. (not too shabby)

Starting a few weeks ago, Blippi held a contest asking fans to send in videos sharing why their hometown deserved a visit from the Blippster himself. The contestant to receive the most votes would win their hometown a visit, and that winning contestant was Clarksville’s very own Layla Breil.

Layla's video happened to be filmed at the local favorite, Mochas & Minis, which, I believe is what got Mochas & Minis involved in planning Blippi's public appearance happening later today. (see Mochas & Minis video announcement from Facebook, here)
